Morphing Aircraft
Emerging technology fields, such as nanotechnology and biologically-inspired technology, coupled with continued advances in existing engineering and information technology fields, will one day enable the creation of "morphing wing" aircraft, capable of bird-like control of flight. Future concepts such as this, matched with operational advances, would dramatically elevate levels of flight safety and performance.
